Sheela NandiniThis comment rightly belongs here:)
Dear Shekharji, just listened to your narration of the same on YSYV! Wow! Shivers running down my spine-was that all or do you have the whole story as a recording? Funny thing-35 days ago(going by my old comment here) I did write that I wished you could have narrated it in your rich, mesmerising voice but deleted that bit, feeling shy.Who am I to say what it should be like...Because for me stories are best narrated.I would ask my eldest sis for stories as a kid. I do love reading texts but you know...the image of snuggling up in bed and warming to a tale unfolding...And you actually recorded this one here ! Seems the Universe does conspire to have some of our wishes fulfilled:))) BTW,my niece(the baby of the family as I call her)my eldest sis's younger daughter would snuggle up to me after school and lunch and put her thumb in her rosebud mouth and ask me to tell her her fav story which was The Three Little Pigs!!! I would begin, making it as dramatic as possible and her eyes would grow large in horror and wonder and then as the story progressed her eyes would grow smaller and I would watch her nodding off-oh she smelled of milk and sunshine and all things divine-my little baby too-I miss that phase and always in my dreams she comes as a little girl even now although she's all of 18!!! Thank you for this and for bringing back memories of my stint at story-telling:)
(User Deleted) Rajeev BagraCompassion towards all living beings is the message. But what about so many Hindi movies that tend to so-called entertain while being cruel on cockroaches, rats...? Or, is there a racism even here?
Yvonne DsouzaBeautiful Story, I am waiting for my 11 year old daughter to listen to it once she is back from school.
Your narration was simply beautiful and very touching. And would just agree with your last line, no greater gift than Compassion!!!!
